
BAY AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONS
Applications for grants through the Bay Area Community Foundation are due in March 2010. Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations in Bay and Arenac Counties may apply for these grants. Grant applications, guidelines, procedures and information on funding priorities can be found below.
Arenac County Endowment Fund will accept grant applications for projects and programs which impact Arenac County. Grants are only awarded to local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. The application deadline is March 15, 2010. For more information, contact Kristen Bovid, kristenb@bayfoundation.org.
· Civic League Endowment Fund will accept grant applications up to $1000 for 501 (c)(3) organizations, operating in Bay County who provide services to women, children and families. The application deadline is March 1, 2010. For more information, contact Lisa Cleland, lisac@bayfoundation.org.
· Community Initiative Fund (General Unrestricted) will accept grant applications from Bay County 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Examples of past grant areas are but not limited to: arts and culture, education, environment, recreation, human services, and health and wellness. The applications deadline is March 1, 2010. · Northern Bay County Endowment Fund will accept grant applications for projects and programs in Northern Bay County. The Northern Bay Fund will also accept mini grant applications (up to $250)Grants are only awarded to local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. The application deadline is March 15, 2010. · Oscar P. & Louise H. Osthelder Advisory Fund will accept grant applications from Bay area 501(c)(3) organizations. Each year the Oscar P. and Louise H. Osthelder Advisory Fund awards grants to area non-profit organizations and projects. The fund does not support grants that defray the cost of operating expenses. Squires Foundation will accept grant applications for 501(c)(3) organizations with programs that benefit children and adults with cognitive or physical disabilities that reside in Bay County. The applications deadline is April 1, 2010. For more information, contact Lisa Cleland, lisac@bayfoundation.org.
Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) will accept grant applications to fund projects that directly benefit the youth (18 and under) of Bay County. The application deadline is March 1, 2010. Previous grants were given to projects that improved youth’s quality of life through health, safety, education, and recreation. Grant applications for 2010 are not limited to these categories. · Unrestricted Environment Fund, Beautification Fund, Energy Fund and the Watershed Restoration Fund grant applications are accepted anytime throughout the year. Refer to the Foundation’s website for details and contact Kristen Bovid, kristenb@bayfoundation.org.
