BAY AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONSBay City, MI—Applications for grants through the Bay Area Community Foundation are due in October. Non-profit 501 (c) 3 organizations in Bay and Arenac Counties may apply for these grants. Grant applications, guidelines, procedures and information on funding priorities, can be found on the Bay Area Community Foundation’s website, www.bayfoundation.org. · Arenac County Endowment Fund will accept grant applications for projects and programs which impact Arenac County. Grants are only awarded to local nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organizations. The application deadline is October 15, 2009. For more information, contact Ashley Geer, ashleyg@bayfoundation.org. · Elizabeth Husband Fund will accept grant applications for organizations, operating in Bay County who provide holiday season activities. Examples of such as activities are but are not limited to: food baskets, clothing, and children’s toys. The application deadline is October 1, 2009. The Bay Area Community Foundation will award up to $1,000 to each selected grant recipient. Squires Foundation will accept grant applications for organizations with programs that benefit children and adults with cognitive or physical disabilities that reside in Bay County. The applications deadline is October 1, 2009. For more information, contact Ashley Geer, ashleyg@bayfoundation.org Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) will accept grant applications to fund projects that directly benefit the youth (18 and under) of Bay County. The application deadline is October 1, 2009. Previous grants were given to projects that improved youth’s quality of life through health, safety, education, and recreation. Grant applications for 2009 are not limited to these categories.
