This fund was created to provide for charitable and educational purposes within the Bay Area Community in 1972, after the death of both Oscar P. and Louise H. Osthelder. In 1992, the Fund was transferred to the Bay Area Community Foundation where it has continued to grow and provide financial support to the Bay area community.

Each year the Oscar P. and Louise H. Osthelder Advisory Fund awards grants to area non-profit organizations and projects. The fund does not support grants that defray the cost of operating expenses.
