New Playscape Coming to Bay City!

Friends of the Riverview Discovery Island is a grass-roots committee comprised of city and business leaders, parents, and other community volunteers working to build an all new community playground at Bigelow Park, on the middle grounds (an island within the Saginaw River) near the Bay City Boys and Girls Club.

This committee is working to build an all-inclusive, ADA accessible playscape with universally accessible components. We envision a “destination playground” — a place where all children of all abilities can come together in the spirit of play to explore, create, and imagine.

Plans are still in the works, but we hope you’ll be a part of its growth through sharing with your friends, donating, sponsoring a brick, or sponsoring through your business! Together, we can make this playground a destination for the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond!

Community foundations play an important role in creating a vibrant community for future generations to enjoy. By working together with other community leaders, we help initiate new projects and programs that work toward those goals.
