From closed offices and cancelled fundraising events to adapting programming for the digital landscape, we know that our local nonprofits are feeling the effects of COVID-19 in varying ways, both big and small.

To help offset the cost to area nonprofits in implementing a safe environment for their employees and those they serve as a result of the coronavirus, Bay Area Community Foundation is offering a mini grant opportunity through the COVID-19 Community Response Fund.

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations located in Bay County, Michigan.

Total Funding Available per Nonprofit: Up to $1,000.

Deadline: Requests will be accepted until funding is exhausted.

Grant Terms:

  • Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations located in Bay County, Michigan are eligible for funding.
  • Grant funds must be utilized within 6 months of approval date
  • Funds can be used for costs related to the organization’s COVID-19 response. Such items may be, but are not limited to: PPE equipment, cleaning/sanitizing supplies, signage, preparing spaces for programming and social distancing measures.
  • Nonprofits must submit the appropriate application form. No email requests will be considered.
  • Applications will be reviewed and given a determination within 14 days of submission.
  • Grant awards will be distributed within 14 days of approval.
  • A brief email indicating how the funds were utilized is required within 6 months of approval date.
