Responding to a need for a dog park in the Pinconning Community, the Northern Bay County Fund committee planned and fundraised to make it a reality. Phase I of the project is now complete, and dogs and their owners can enjoy the fenced-in play area for dogs to socialize. It is divided into two sections: one for dogs 40 pounds or more and one for smaller dogs. The next phases of the project will include benches and a shaded section as well as dog play structures. The dog park is along the Pinconning Nature Trail which can be found behind St. Michael’s Catholic School playground.

I am proud to serve my community through my role at BACF. As a Program Officer, I collaborate with nonprofit, government, church, and school partners in Bay and Arenac counties to navigate our grant opportunities and find the right funding alignment. From project conception to post-award, I am your main contact for all things grants. Connecting organizations and donors who share the same vision and passion is at the heart of my work.
