Responding to a need for a dog park in the Pinconning Community, the Northern Bay County Fund committee planned and fundraised to make it a reality. Phase I of the project is now complete, and dogs and their owners can enjoy the fenced-in play area for dogs to socialize. It is divided into two sections: one for dogs 40 pounds or more and one for smaller dogs. The next phases of the project will include benches and a shaded section as well as dog play structures. The dog park is along the Pinconning Nature Trail which can be found behind St. Michael’s Catholic School playground.
The Bay Area continues to grow more racially and ethnically diverse, and with this, our community grapples with issues of racial justice and social equity.
