Responding to a need for a dog park in the Pinconning Community, the Northern Bay County Fund committee planned and fundraised to make it a reality. Phase I of the project is now complete, and dogs and their owners can enjoy the fenced-in play area for dogs to socialize. It is divided into two sections: one for dogs 40 pounds or more and one for smaller dogs. The next phases of the project will include benches and a shaded section as well as dog play structures. The dog park is along the Pinconning Nature Trail which can be found behind St. Michael’s Catholic School playground.
Funded by the Bay County Healthy Youth/Seniors Fund and the Youth Advisory Endowment Fund held at the Bay Area Community Foundation, the Stop the Bleed Project’s goal is as simple as it is crucial: to provide Stop the Bleed Kits to all schools within Bay County.
