- What inspired you to join the Bay Area Community Foundation board of trustees?
When I heard about the opportunity to bring a youth to the board I was overjoyed at the chance. I was inspired after sitting through a couple meetings and seeing the passion for change and the want to hear the youth perspective.
2. What unique skills or experiences do you bring to the board?
I bring my experiences throughout my years serving on YAC (Youth Advisory Committee). I also bring a voice for the youth.
3. What are you most excited about as you begin your journey as a trustee?
I am most excited to meet new people and learn from the experiences of those around me. I am also excited to see what great things this board is able to accomplish.
4. What do you hope to accomplish while serving your time as a trustee?
I hope to share my experiences in our community as a youth. I would really love to see youth serving on this board for years to come.
5. If you could snap your fingers and change one thing about our community, what would it be?
I would share our collective willingness for kindness. If we were all kind to one another and worked together we could get so much more done.
6. What is your favorite book or movie, and why does it resonate with you?
I love the movies Avatar. It shoes the beauty of traveling and seeing new things while showcasing the danger of interfering with nature. Plus, it has a great plot!
7. What is your favorite place to visit in Bay or Arenac counties?
My favorite place to visit is Downtown Bay City. With amazing restaurants and sights to see it is always a good time. Plus, I am a huge foodie.
8. What hobby or pastime brings you joy outside of your professional life?
I am a huge foodie. I love going to new restaurants and trying new things!
9. What is one interesting fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
I love hiking and exploring. Traveling and seeing the world is one of my favorite things to do.
10. Who is your favorite superhero or fictional character?
Iron Man is my favorite superhero. He was able to build some of the most impressive innovations and his his inventions for good.
