Twenty-Two Nonprofits Awarded Funding Through Bay County Nonprofit ARPA Grant Program

The Bay Area Community Foundation (BACF) announces 22 nonprofit organizations will be receiving grant awards through the Bay County Nonprofit ARPA Grant Program.

A total of $750,000 was allocated for this program by the County of Bay to address the negative impact of COVID-19 experienced in the nonprofit sector. Funds will help nonprofits recover and respond to the negative economic impacts of the pandemic in the categories of payroll, rent/mortgage and operating costs. All awarded grant funds must be expended by December 31, 2023.

“Bay County’s nonprofit organizations provide a host of essential services to our community’s families and businesses,” said Diane Mahoney, president and CEO of BACF. “We are thrilled to partner with the County of Bay to provide funds to support these organizations as we continue to build a united, thriving and resilient community. Together, we are moving toward a future that ensures safety, economic opportunity and social support for all.”

Tom Herek, board chair of the Bay County Board of Commissioners added, “Bay County is proud to partner with BACF in the awarding of grants to area nonprofits. Their work in the community is a vital part of everyday life and a reminder that we are all in this together. Everyone is important if we are to build a stronger and more vibrant Bay County.”
