As a program associate, I assist our program officers with their daily operations. I am primarily focused on providing support for our local scholarship programs and connecting Bay and Arenac youth with opportunities to further their education. I was introduced to the nonprofit and public sector when I began volunteering in the bay area at a young age. Through that work I found a passion for cultivating an engaged community that encourages historic preservation and restoration, while stimulating continued growth. I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with my bachelor’s degree in political science – public administration; and am excited to join the Bay Area Community Foundation in supporting an inclusive community.
Here are things I can help you with:
- Guiding you through our scholarship application process
- Filling out your FAFSA
- Connecting you with college preparation resources in the community
Favorite place in our community to spend free time: Pinconning City Park, Nayanquing Point State Wildlife Area, and Tobico Marsh
Other things I do in my free time: I love getting to spend time on the Great Lakes. Exploring the history and architecture of lighthouses and other historic sites in Michigan, kayaking, and hiking are a few of my favorite things to do here!
